"A Recipe for Disaster"

Winds in area of the AES Rancho Viejo Solar/BESS Location
**The Below Videos were recorded
less than 1/2 mile from proposed AES Rancho Viejo Facility.
March 18, 2025
Sustained Winds 35 mph....Gusts 74

March 14, 2025
Sustained Winds 31 mph....Gusts 61

March 6, 2025
Sustained Winds 33 mph....Gusts 65

March 3, 2025
Sustained Winds 33 mph....Gusts 54

We simply cannot risk locating a facility with known fire risks in a location with these HIGH WIND events!!
AES Noise Study
The County DID NOT REQUIRE an Independent (3rd party) Noise Analysis!
Why is an accurate decibel (noise level) reading critical?
Because falsely elevated Decibel readings will allow the facility to run at a louder noise level (24/7)!!
Did you know?
During the construction period (~1 yr from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m./Mon to Sat), AES has NO REQUIRED LIMIT on how loud the construction noise can be!!
Decibel (DB) results by AES
38.4 DB (avg daytime)
34 DB (avg nighttime)
...HOWEVER multiple readings taken by residents in this area show much lower average decibel levels!
Please listen/watch the videos from other facilities during construction!
Decibel Reading Videos
FOOTAGE taken
~1/2 mile from proposed facility.
MUCH LOWER READINGS than AES report
**many other recordings are documented and saved

Videos of Noise from Solar/BESS Facilities
This first video is in Essex/SE England: The noise you hear is pile driving the steel posts into the ground.

This next video is in Essex/SE England: The noise continues, now 9 months into the project.
